The surface of the helmet is adorned with mother-of-pearl, creating delicate expressions that shift with the angle of the light. Kobe-grown pearls are used for the helmet studs, incorporating the beauty of pearls into the form of the armor. The powerful shape of the helmet resonates with a soft, mystical light, creating a presence that embodies both elegance and strength.
Designed by SAVI specifically for this piece is an original glass statue shaped like a woman's body. SAVI personally traveled to the Italian island of Murano to create it alongside local glass artisans.
The supple glass form supports the helmet, depicting a fantastical scene as if Venus herself were donning the helmet. VENUS is where traditional Japanese craftsmanship, Italian glass art, and SAVI's unique aesthetic intersect.
