Rice has been cherished in Japan since ancient times.
It was particularly revered as an offering to the gods.
Straw is a byproduct of rice.
In the past, it was an indispensable material used for all aspects of daily life, including clothing, food, and housing.
There is a certain warmth to straw.
It embodies a kindness that transcends countries and languages.

- SEKIMORI -
"Please refrain from entering beyond this point."
That is the meaning of a Sekimori-ishi (barrier stone).
Inside and outside
Purity and impurity
Human world and natural world
Drawing lines between everything
And sometimes, allowing them to intersect
As a boundary of consciousness,
May it accompany the blank spaces in your daily life.
WARA
Engages in creative activities with the motto "decorating the blank spaces."
Touching straw evokes a feeling close to meditation.
Activities are centered around not only arranging time and space, but also arranging the mind.
Focusing on creating works using rice straw, WARA produces spatial designs that translate ancient culture into modern times.
A portion of the sales is donated to organizations that support children facing difficulties in life.
In collaboration with the internationally acclaimed musician Meitei,
the song "Shitsurai" was released on Risshun (the first day of spring) in 2023.
