A ceramic artist working primarily with porcelain clay, Uozu creates under the concept of "fossils of time." Their work is characterized by a unique style that incorporates natural phenomena, such as the distortion of clay and the flow of glaze that occur during firing. This process gives rise to forms and expressions that seem as if time itself has given them shape. Biography
Born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture in 1984. After graduating from the Department of Arts and Crafts at Kanazawa Gakuin University in 2006, Uozu completed the advanced course in 2007. Since then, they have been deeply involved in ceramics, studying at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo and serving as an assistant at the Akita Municipal Junior College of Arts and Crafts in 2013. Uozu continues to create works in Kanazawa, reflecting their unique worldview in their pieces every day.
